Whistler Mtn, Canada – my new favorite place to ski! 64” of
new snow in the past seven days. A winter wonderland! Fresh snow every day, our
group really hit the jackpot to be here for here during this week of March.
Four days of skiing were all my legs desired. The snowshoe tour through a
primitive forest was magical. The forest was coated with snow on the trees and
drifts on the ground. There are so many types of conifers in this forest too. A
super-fast slide down the tubing hill gave my heart a few extra beats.
A wonderful fact about Whistler is it has an elevation under 7,200’. Thus, no
issues adapting to altitude. The village is at 2,200', same as Asheville. There
is a super-fun mile long green run from the top, all the way to the bottom.
There are two mountains here to ski on, Whistler and Blackcomb, with multiple
gondolas to either get up or, across the mountaintops. I plan to return!
